Maths Support for Parents

We recognise that the way maths is now taught may be different from methods that you yourselves used at school. This often makes us reluctant to help our children at home as we are worried about confusing them. With this in mind, we have added some useful information to the Maths section of our school website. You will find videos, produced by White Rose maths, explaining all the methods used within our classrooms for place value, number work, fractions and algebra. There is also a video to explain the concept of bar modelling and a glossary of the terms used on a regular basis within our maths lessons.
