The Sandroyd Nursery is an integral part of our Pre-Prep and is where children begin their educational journey with Sandroyd.
Facilities
Bright and spacious, the Nursery is purpose-built to educate younger children in their preparation for Reception. It houses two learning spaces, a playground, and a garden with facilities such as a water wall and sandpit.
The children also have access to the facilities of the pre-prep such as a mud kitchen, climbing frames, library, school hall, and many specialist staff. Our children get very excited about 'To the Woods' - a large outdoor classroom with rope swings and log stools, and the opportunity to spend lots of time outdoors come rain or shine.
And let's not forget the full use of the prep school facilities where they get the opportunity to swim, take part in games sessions in the sports hall, or experience the large playing fields. The opportunities really are vast for children attending our nursery!
Opening hours
Garden Cottage nursery is open term-time only from 8.30am until 3.45pm.
Children can join the nursery from age 2, choosing either a morning session or all day session. Mornings run from 8.30am to 12.30pm, and all day sessions run from 8.30am to 3.45pm.
Both sessions include a snack of fruit or vegetables and milk, as well as a freshly prepared hot meal at lunchtime by the chef. The children eat a 'family service' lunch in the school dining room with other children from the pre-prep and a member of staff.
