Pets' Corner

Tucked within the heart of Sandroyd, Pets' Corner is a much-loved haven for animal lovers of all ages. Currently home to a delightful array of animals – including lambs, chickens, chicks, ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even three charming tortoises – it’s a place bursting with life, curiosity, and cuddles.

Children are encouraged to take an active role in caring for the animals, learning the importance of responsibility, empathy, and routine. It’s not just a place to observe – it’s a hands-on experience where pupils help feed, clean, and nurture their furry (and shelled!) friends.

Boarders are welcome to bring their own pets from home, making Pets' Corner truly a “home from home.” During break times, it becomes one of the busiest and most popular areas of the school, as children flock to visit, play with, and cuddle the animals.

Whether it’s the calming company of a rabbit, the excitement of newly-hatched chicks or bottle feeding the lambs, Pets' Corner offers something special for everyone.
