PSHCE

Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education

PSHCE is delivered as a fundamental part of meeting a pupil’s spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.

In pursuit of this, the prime purpose of PSHCE at Sandroyd is the fostering in each pupil of confidence, both in who they are and the different ways they are growing and developing; but also confidence in their recognition and understanding of their place and role in their social groups, society at large and, ultimately, the world.

It is recognised that PSHCE has a role to play in a number of subsidiary purposes, particularly tackling prejudice peer group and whole school social cohesion issues of a safeguarding/disclosure nature.
