Year 3 Trip to Ancient Technology Centre

 Year 3 pupils are studying ‘Invaders & Settlers’ in Humanities, so we couldn’t turn down the chance to spend a day at the Ancient Technology Centre in Cranborne. Our hosts, Andy & Jess, explained all about the everyday lives of Anglo Saxons and Vikings and the pupils experienced life in a Viking longhouse, thinking about what people ate, how they washed, whether they went to school and what they did to relax and have fun. We then got some hands-on experience of washing wool with herbs and attempting to ‘catch supper’ with a bow and arrow, before ending up playing a great game of ‘Kings & Queens’.
