Year 2: Trip to The Trussell Trust

The Year 2 class went to The Trussell Trust in Gillingham to deliver the donations made by parents in The Walled Garden for the Harvest Festival. The children were able to see the food bank in action and helped to weigh, sort and pack the donations, as well as learning about the need for food banks and how we can all help local people who are less fortunate than ourselves. We were thrilled that we were able to donate a huge 80kg of supplies for the food bank and the team at The Trussell Trust was extremely grateful for the generous offering.
