Year 6 took two teams to Kingswood school, Tiger Trax and The Lightning Strikers. After a day full of presentations, questioning, racing and testing, Sandroyd proudly walked away with 4 awards and a place in the regional STEM Racing finals in March 2026. The awards were: 

Future Vision- The teams had to design a racing suit for the future and explain their choices of material, colours and logo.

Research and Development- The teams were grilled on their knowledge of F1, design and engineering. 

Portfolio- All the work the teams had done over the term had to be presented and discussed, from initial designs to decisions made regarding aerodynamics. 

2nd Place overall- All gradings combined from the day's assessments, presentations and racing- Tiger Trax sealed a place in the National Final to compete against 60 other teams from around the country. Well done to both teams!
