Sport: U8/U9 Girls Sandroyd Hockey Festival

In the freezing fog our mighty U8 and U9 girls hockey players braved the chill to host a number of our local schools in the 2022 Sandroyd Hockey festival.  The girls were split into two teams, Lions and Tigers and with claws out, they played six games of hockey.  Our Year 8 students led the warm ups, helped cheer on the teams and umpired the matches brilliantly.  We welcomed teams from Hanford, Moyles Court, Forres Saddle Manor and Castle Court.  Everyone played with smiles on their faces and ended the day with lashings of hot choc to take away the cold.

Some fantastic performances on show today but particular mention goes to Popsy who scored her first ever hockey goal, Fumika for her defence, Flora, Georgiana, Olivia and Molly for their feisty attacking skills.  Well done girls and thanks to the Year 8s for all their help!!
