Sport: Hockey session with Will Abell from Taunton School

On Tuesday we welcomed Will Abell to Sandroyd for an afternoon of hockey coaching. Will, a hockey specialist coach at Taunton School worked with both our girls and boys in Year 3,4,5,6 and 7. During his sessions the children focused on small sided match play, attack verses defence and developing strategies to beat the defender. 

Will commented on how polite and well mannered the children were and wanted to specially mention Tilly (Yr7), Rafe (Yr7), Holly (Yr7), Savannah (Yr5), Orlando (Yr4) and Finn (Yr3). 

Well done to all the children and thank you to Will for giving up his time to work with our young hockey players!

After the hockey session Will kindly took part in a Q&A session with our Year 8 hockey team who are at home. The girls got the chance to have a chat with him about their hockey season so far.
