Skills Week: Year 6

During Skills Week our Year 6 children visited Mill on Brue.  We set out with the aim that the students were challenged and taken out of their comfort zones - and of course for them to have a little fun along the way. Thanks to all the staff at Mill on the Brue our aims were certainly met.

From flying down a 100m zip line to jumping off a telegraph pole, the Year 6 students were given the opportunity to test their limits and they did so with such enthusiasm. The students demonstrated their excellent team working skills in activities such as raft building and the human marble run.

In the evenings we enjoyed a well-deserved hot chocolate, sang songs and toasted marshmallows around the campfire. If you have not heard the banana song yet, I’m sure you will. The only problem…  we all wanted to stay longer.
