Science: Crocodiles of the World

As part of Science week, students in Years 6, 7 and 8 had the pleasure of welcoming Colin Stevenson, Head of Education from Crocodiles of the World to Sandroyd.  Colin (an Australian) has been working with Crocodilians for over 30 years and set up the Madras Crocodile Centre in Chennai before moving to the UK.

Students learnt a variety of facts about alligators and crocodiles and amazed Colin by their impeccable behaviour and confidence in asking intelligent questions. The students had the opportunity to handle Mike and Stumpy and increase their understanding of conservation, reptiles and the natural world around them.
