Nicola Tranah - Life & Career in the Royal Ballet

We were privileged and honoured to welcome Nicola Tranah to Sandroyd. Having conducted a coaching session for 4 budding ballet dancers in our Studio, Niccy then preceded to entertain the school with stories and memories from her times as a pupil at the Royal Ballet, a dancer at the Dutch National Ballet, performing a first soloist at the Royal Opera House, and finally a teacher at the Royal Ballet. In conversation and enhanced by video clips, Niccy talked about the famous people she has performed with and in front of, and entertained the audience with stories of when things go wrong. Niccy highlighted the importance of working hard to achieve you goals, and the resilience and reflection required along the way.
