IAPS Prep School Skiing Championships

Skiing is firmly back in the calendar at Sandroyd! The first Sandroyd IAPS Skiing team took to the slopes in Pilar, Italy in March with the team having an amazingly successful competition achieving the Bronze Medal for the U13 Mixed Competition. A particular highlight was Heidi’s outstanding performance, winning the U13 Girls' individual event – an impressive achievement given that she is still an U11. Congratulations to all!

 

 

Day 1

With a fresh dusting of snow and blue skies, Day 1 was all about perfecting their Giant Slalom technique before the competition begins! The team made the most of every run before rounding off the evening with a lively quiz.

 Day 2

Day 2 was Qualifying Day! All four of our skiers put in brilliant performances to qualify for the main Championships races. 

Day 3

After a fantastic morning skiing in preparation for the afternoon's competition, the excitement was high! Unfortunately due to poor visibility the racing was postponed.

Day 4

Competition day! Sandroyd team rose to the challenge claiming 3rd place in the U13 mixed Championship Competition and fastest overall U13 girl skier. A wonderful achievement to round off a fantastic week in Italy. Thank you to the IAPS organisers for all their hard work.
