Boarding: Pizza making, campfire & s'mores!

As ever, the boarders have had a busy weekend here at Sandroyd. Our boarders enjoyed the best of the September sunshine and lots of fun Camp-craft activities. 

It was an exciting Saturday night, using our pizza oven for the first time which was built last term. The boarders all made their own pizzas with their favourite toppings before traditional s'mores toasting over a campfire. 

Sunday morning fun continued with a lie-in and full English breakfast, before heading back out into the woods for shelter building, assembling hammocks and wood carving.  After some great teamwork and design ideas, we were all ready for a well deserved roast lunch. In the afternoon our formula goblin electric racing car was dismantled ready for the rebuild ahead of the next racing season in the DT room. The children also spent time in the art room, swimming pool, astro and cookery room baking sausage rolls and cheese and pesto twists!
