Sandroyd General Election

On Tuesday (two days before the real thing), Sandroyd held their own General Election. The five academic scholars were assigned a party and chose six key issues - Brexit, Health, Education, Economy, Climate & Environment, and Immigration.  They presented their policies on these issues in front of the whole school and then the pupils and teachers voted on what they had heard.  The results were interesting and revealing:

  • 53 Lib Dems - Jeevan
  • 50 Conservatives - Amy
  • 41 Green Party - Sophie
  • 17 Independent Party - Natalie
  • 6   Labour - James
