Stonar School ISODE Saturday 14th May and Sunday 15th May

We had 4 riders in class 1 on the Sat for the 80/85cm class. A step up in height for all especially for 3 new combinations. Barney Brooking on his new horse Little Missile rode very well. His horse got a bit tense in the dressage but managed to complete the test, SJ had a couple of fences down then went clear cross country, 25th place in his section. Joey Kennedy rode Gem who was his brothers pony as his pony Kevin was to be ridden by his sister Martha the next day. Joey rode a good dressage test especially as he has only just started riding Gem. In the show jumping had a couple of jumps down but then went very well cross country for a clear round, 28th in his section. Lydia Paines on Cooper rode a good dressage had one down SJ and then had a couple of stops at the start of the cross country but then went clear, 31st in section. Millie Frostwick also on a new pony rode a good dressage test, went clear SJ but then had a technical refusal on the cross country but had a good round, 28th in section.
Martha Kennedy then rode on Sunday in the 70/75 and as Tolly wasn’t well she then had to ride Kevin. After riding a good dressage they then went clear in the SJ phase followed by a good clear round cross country. They were placed 11 th in their section which was a huge achievement being their first time at this level.
Well done all!
