The Sandroyd Tetrathlon was run on the 8th May 2016. This event has been running for many years as I was reminded when a team manager informed me that his daughter competed in the first tetrathlon held here, when she was 8 years old and she is now 28.
The weather could not have been better, which ensured a good sale of ice creams.
114 Competitors entered from far and wide, and it was particularly pleasing to see our largest ever entry. Whilst there were the usual number of thrills and spills on the riding cross country course, it was pleasing that this was balanced by a large number of clear rounds.
All the competitors seemed to enjoy themselves and many of the parents have assured us that they are already looking forward to next year.
This was a great team effort and many thanks go to all involved, both on the day and in the lead up to it.
