Panique à l’Escargot Rapide

8S has spent this half term rehearsing a series of short sketches during French and, with a little help from Madame Bradbury, has managed to perform ‘Panique à l’Escargot Rapide’ about life in a Parisian restaurant owned by the famous Jean-Michel Olivier. We set up F2, the French room, to look like a restaurant with white tablecloths, candles, cutlery and music and served drinks and nibbles to our guests throughout the play. ‘Sholto et le nounours’ is a very funny sketch about a man who comes to the restaurant with his teddy bear and then demands that he be treated like a paying customer!

It was a very enjoyable experience for all members of 8S, but I would particularly like to thank Sholto Bayley for playing such a convincing ‘diva’ and for Giles Edwards as the very patient waiter who held it all together. Bravo, 8S!
