Common Entrance Success

After months of focused work and revision, we are delighted to announce that all of our Year 8 Common Entrance candidates have won places into their first choice school. There have been some outstanding results across all the subjects, which is a testimony to the hard work of both the pupils and their teachers. In total, over 100 A and A* grades were awarded to our year 8 leavers and we are incredibly proud of all of them.

This success closely follows on from the news that pupils won an impressive 12 scholarships and exhibitions to leading senior schools, as well successfully passing the Winchester entrance papers.

The schools that this year’s leavers have won places at include: Bryanston School, Dean Close School, Clifton College, Harrow, Eton, Marlborough College, Millfield, Monkton Combe School, Oundle School, Radley College, Sherborne School, Sherborne School for Girls, Shrewsbury School, Stonar and Winchester.

Since finishing their common entrance exams last week, our Year 8 leavers have been enjoying a well-earned break as part of their structured leavers’ program. On Tuesday they all head off to Devon for a five day camping trip knowing that they have firm places in their senior school of choice.
