We are once again running our hugely popular activity courses during the Summer Holidays for children aged 7 to 11 years of age. They will take place week beginning Tuesday 26 August to Friday 29 August 2008. 

1. Sandroyd Superstars

Designed for those children who enjoy participating in a variety of different activities,   the programme includes: Water Fights, Rounders, Football, Cricket, Unihock, Basketball, Free Swim, Scavenger Hunts, Tennis, Team Relays, Crazy Olympics, Treasure Hunts, Den Building, Arts & Crafts and more.

2. Combination: Football & Superstars

Huw Thomas will be running a Football coaching course. He will be focusing on all aspects of the game including passing, tackling, dribbling, heading and small sided games. A morning of football and an afternoon of Superstars – the perfect combination!

3. Combination: Tennis & Superstars

Lulu Green will be running a Tennis course for children in Years 3 to 6.  Throughout the week, she will be developing all aspects of the game including forehand, backhand, volleying, serving, and match play.  Children will be divided up according to their experience. A half day of tennis and a half day of Superstars – lovely!

4. Combination: Riding & Superstars

Nicola Beament will be running a Riding course for children in Years 3 to 6.  In addition to riding tuition, she will be focusing on all aspects of pony care, including grooming and care of tack. Children will be divided up according to their experience. A half day of riding and a half day of Superstars – tally ho!  Own pony may ‘board’ for an additional fee of £5 per night! (Please contact the Riding Department direct for further information on this.)

All courses start at 10.00am and finish at 3.15pm.  There will be a lunch break (packed lunches please) and a couple of shorter breaks during the day.  The school tuck shop will also be open for those eager for a sugar boost!

The courses are open to both children from Sandroyd School and their friends or relatives. 

The cost of the course will be £22.00 per day or £80.00 for the 4 days, with the exception of riding which will be £27.00 per day, or £100.00 for the 4 days.

Any combination of days can be booked and places will be limited. Kindly contact the school office if you would like to secure a place for your child/ren.  A confirmation letter will be sent out in due course.

Children attending the course will need to bring both indoor and outdoor footwear, swimming kit, towel and a packed lunch. Riding kit for those on the riding course.
