The Tetrathlon was held on Sunday 11^th May and we were exceptionally lucky that the weather was very hot and dry, in complete contrast to last year when we were rained off half way through the day. There were 36 mini competitors and 27 junior competitors that started the day, which was a slightly lower number than we would have liked but did at least make scoring easier. It was very nice to have two new schools competing, The Elms and Beaudesert Park, who had both travelled quite a distance but hopefully felt that it was worth it because they took home many rosettes.

The shooting took place in the gym as usual and the run went around the edge of the games field, also as usual. The swimming pool was probably the best place to be for the competitors and the worst for the officials because it became very hot as the day went on.

The cross country course had benefited from the addition of six new mobile fences which added some more variety to the course and caused a few problems for some of the riders. However there were plenty of clear rounds in both classes. Yet again the school maintenance team had worked extremely hard to get the course as immaculate as possible.

Thanks as usual go to everyone who helped to make this such a successful day but in particular Lucy Friend who spent most of a very hot Friday flagging the fences on her own, as well as getting ponies ready.
