Senior Reading List

There can be no definitive reading list, but here is a selection recommended by Senior Schools and supplemented through pupil suggestion and recognition of the growing number of talented authors, with special reference to teenage and young adult literature. This list can be used as a ‘tick list’, where other titles by the same author would be acceptable, though reading abridged or children’s versions (or watching a television or film adaptation) would not. It is important to read widely, both different authors and genres.
